About our birds:
We have a breeding flock of about 10 Light Sussex with a Rhode Island Red cockerel. This particular type of pairing is also often referred to as a Columbian Black tail. We hatch all our stock on the farm from the very best breeding birds of each breed.

Interesting to know:

These birds are slightly larger than your standard commercial hybrid bird. They are able to be easily sexed at hatching. The Light Sussex gives the hen its size and laid back temperament and the Rhode Island Red gives it the increased egg laying ability.
